RiverbedGerhard Schultz
An ensemble of up to 7, with each part corresponding to a time and place of the same number.
The 7 places lie in a riverbed found in the Open Space Preserve of Santa Clarita, California. Off the Old Road, between Lyons and Towsley Canyon, there is an unmarked road called Lyons Ranch which leads away from the 5 into a field. Following this road, in each case to the right, it becomes more of a path. This begins to crisscross a dried-up riverbed and eventually the 2 merge. Soon after, the path down the river is obstructed by some foliage. Immediately behind the obstruction is a somewhat circular opening in the river. This is Place 1. The 2nd place is a similar opening behind the next obstruction. Place 3 is further down where the riverbed widens and bends simultaneously just prior to an upcoming fork. If this is taken to the right, the riverbanks rise up above head height and nearly touch. This is the 4th place. Heading back, the same fork can be taken to the right. Together along with Place 3, which is in sight, Place 5, almost half-moon-shaped, straddles the fork. Place 6 is the same as 2, and 7 is the same as 1.
