sounds are electronic and touch upon the surroundings.

within an individual group, musicians play in turn, whether or not the order is predetermined.

a turn is signaled by the beginning of a sound, so other turns can occur while a sound continues.  
if a sound has continued throughout a full round, ending the sound can also be the turn.

anyone can play out of turn, however, at the cost of her upcoming turn.
at this point, she is not skipped, but instead, the group is finished.
